I don’t know about you, but I love a good quote. A great way to record them is in an art journal page.
I encourage you to choose a quote and then make a page from it.
If I’m honest (and I always am!) I have to say I chose the quote based on the page I felt like making. I was in the mood to doodle flowers, so I decided to pick a quote that would go with the floral theme.
You, too could make a page first and then choose a quote that goes with it.
How I made this page:
It was pretty simple. First I used watercolors and made a background.
Then I drew the flowers and quote with a black sharpie.
I would love to see your art journal page! You can leave a comment below and even upload a photo to share what you made.

Week 4 Creativity Booster:
I know that a lot of people think they’re not creative, get creatively blocked or feel as though they’ve lost their creativity. (That’s the whole reason I created Rediscover Your Creativity & Make Jewelry eCourse.) If you look back to your childhood you probably can remember a time when you felt creative. I know I drew without boundaries, painted, made cards, made friendship bracelets by the boatload, among other things.
I recently remembered an activity I did as a child. I kind of think we may have done this in art class or it could have been something we just did on our paper bag book covers. I don’t exactly remember.
It’s really just doodling. There’s no right or wrong way to do it. You don’t have to show anyone – or you can if you want. This is just for you. Give it a try and see if you feel more creative overall.
In the eCourse one of the weeks is all about doodling. There is something about it that just starts you feeling more creative.
Here’s the activity:
(I wish I had a name for this, but I don’t. I even tried googling it. So we’ll just call it doodling.)
First grab a piece of paper and some markers, colored pencils, crayons or even just a pen if it’s all you have handy.
Draw on the paper. You can draw any shapes or we used to do it with our names in bubble letters.
As you can see, I simply drew a heart, but you can draw a bunch of different shapes if you like.
Start on the left side of the paper draw a line and then go around the shape (or shapes) you come to. Basically, you want to keep the line straight across, but you have to go around any shapes and then back down to the level you started at after going around the shape.
Continue by doing another line above the first one and continue until you fill up the top half of the page. When you run out of room, just take the line off the paper and back onto the paper where there is room.
You can use different colors, rainbow colors (like I did), just a couple of colors, black and white or whatever you like. You can also color in between the lines so it’s solid or leave them as lines like I did. Whatever you like!
Now do the same thing on the bottom half of the page, going around and under any shapes.
You can doodle in your shapes, too, or color them in or leave them empty. Whatever you like!
Start out 2015 feeling super creative! Each week for 6 weeks you get a creativity booster, jewelry making lessons and one or more jewelry making projects via video and PDF eBooks. People feel unstuck creatively and find their creativity again! This round I’m adding even more tips and tricks and jewelry making projects.

Think back . . .
Think back to a time when you felt more creative — maybe it was when you were a kid, maybe before you had kids, maybe it was just a few months ago and now you feel blocked. Maybe you do feel creative, but want to boost it even more (and who doesn’t?!?)
I have the solution here!
This workshop is in 3 parts and will give you a creativity booster (a creativity prompt), teach you jewelry skills and then gives you a great jewelry project that you can use to make all kinds of jewelry!
I encourage you to make whatever you are inspired to create after doing the creativity booster, even if it isn’t the suggested project.
The projects and skills are delivered through videos. You’ll receive a workbook instantly upon purchase that includes all of the tutorials, plus the private page and password that contains the workshop.
