  • Buttons (about 2-4 per flower)
  • Floral wire
  • Chain nose pliers

Step #1Button Bouquet TutorialPick out buttons and make little piles.  I like to use 2 to 4 buttons for each flower.Step #2Button Bouquet TutorialVery loosely bend the wire in half.Step #3Button Bouquet TutorialButton Bouquet TutorialPlace your first button on the wire.Take the top button from one of the piles you made and slide it onto the wire.  If there is a top and bottom to the button, make sure that the top is facing the bend (and the back is going the direction of the loose wires.)Step #4Button Bouquet TutorialButton Bouquet TutorialContinue to add the remainder of the buttons from that pile in the same way.Step #5Button Bouquet TutorialUse your pliers to twist the wire below the pile of buttons.  Make sure to make this initial twist tightly.Button Bouquet TutorialButton Bouquet TutorialThen continue to twist the wire all the way down.  After the initial twist, you don't have to twist the wire as tightly. Most of the time I hole the wire in my pliers and twist the buttons.  Or you can use the pliers to twist the wire.  Use whichever technique is more comfortable for you.Button Bouquet TutorialThat's one completed flower. Now just continue making flowers until you have a full bouquet with as many flowers as you like.Making a flower with a shank button:Button Bouquet TutorialStep #1Button Bouquet TutorialLoosely bend the wire in half and then center the shank button on it.Step #2Button Bouquet TutorialThen you can slide regular buttons on and continue in the same manner as the tutorial above.Button Bouquet TutorialOnce you get a good amount of individual flowers, put them in a bouquet. You can put them in a vase:Button Bouquet TutorialButton Bouquet TutorialOr they are really sweet tied up with a bit of ribbon or lace.Button Bouquet TutorialThese can get really addicting to make, so in no time you'll have your home filled with beautiful button bouquets!Love working with wire and want to learn how to make beautiful, sturdy wire jewelry?  Get started with my 10 Day Quick Start Guide.  It guides you through everything you need to know to get started with making jewelry and at the end you'll make a pair of earrings!Quick Start Guide to Wire Wrapped Jewelry
