Intuitive Necklace Tutorial (wire wrapped bead links)
In this video I discuss how I made an “intuitive necklace.” I also discuss how I created this necklace helped me be more consistent in my creativity.
You’ll learn how to make a wire wrap bead link and how to properly open and close jump rings in this video.
For this necklace I used a variety of gemstone beads in different sizes, as well as a wire wrapped rock that I had already wire wrapped and didn’t use. (You can actually learn how to wire wrap stones and rocks you find in my Nature Jewelry Workshop.)
However, you can use any beads you like. It’s kind of the whole point of this necklace.
Here’s the video tutorial:
Tools and Materials:
These will vary depending on what you choose to use, but in general you’ll need:
Wire. I used 20 gauge round Parawire (similar to half-hard wire)
Wire Cutters
Round nose pliers
Chain nose pliers
Bent nose pliers or a second pair of chain nose or flat nose pliers
Jump rings
Beads of your choice
Clasp
I mentioned my old Intuitive Necklace video, which can be found in ECT TV Episode 2. I used a stringing technique for that necklace.
