I know that being in nature is a big key for creativity and inspiration. I love the colors in nature (isn’t it cool how nature is about to put colors together in such a beautiful way?)
Because of this, I also love using natural materials in jewelry and pieces that remind me of nature.
This necklace uses wooden buttons and turquoise beads and brown cord (it’s fake leather, but it’s still earthy.) The colors remind me of things I see out in nature.
You can use the same techniques and make a different necklace with a completely different inspiration, or maybe other colors you find beautiful in nature.
Let’s get started!
- Wood buttons ( I used 2 of these)
- Turquoise beads (I used 3 of these)
- Some sort of cord, I used some fake leather cord.
- 18 gauge wire (half-hard, round)
- Wire cutters
- Round nose pliers
- Chain nose pliers
- Another paid of pliers
- Scissors to cut your cord
Straighten the loop.
Make 2 of these.
Hold the wire in round nose pliers.
Repeat to make three of these bead links.
You can either leave it loose and just tie it with a bow to put it on.
Or you can do a couple sliding knots.
