My most popular free tutorial BY FAR is this Rose Ring Tutorial.
I know you love making rings. I love making rings, too.
I often give jewelry as gifts to my friends and family. I mean, there’s only so much jewelry you can keep for yourself, right?
The problem with rings, though, is that unless you know their ring size, it’s hard to give a ring as a gift. Sure, you could ask them, but that sort of ruins the surprise, right? (Especially since your friends all know you make jewelry!)
Here’s the solution:
This ring is adjustable, so you don’t even need to know the right size! And it’s so fun! Plus you can customize it with your favorite (or your friend’s favorite) colors.
Even if you’re making it for yourself, it’s nice to be able to change fingers if you want. Or maybe you’re not even sure what size to make for yourself (or you don’t have a ring mandrel! You don’t even need one if you don’t have one!)
Basic Skills Necessary:
- I teach you how to do everything, but it would be helpful if you could make bead dangles or have some very basic experience with wire.
Materials and Tools you’ll need:
- 18 or 20 gauge wire
- 6- 2″ headpins
- 6 beads
- Ring mandrel or other cylindrical object
- wire cutters
- 2 pair of chain nose pliers
- Round nose pliers
- hammer and steel block or anvil
