I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! Or if you didn’t (I haven’t always been a Christmas person myself), I hope you find peace in the New Year.
I completely overestimated how much I could get done during the holidays. So today – a few days late and without a video – I bring you the final creativity tip for the Creativity Countdown.
There are only 5 more days until Rediscover Your Creativity & Make Jewelry starts and registration closes. I run this class only once or twice a year. So give yourself the gift of a very creative start to the New Year and take Rediscover Your Creativity & Make Jewelry.
Now, onto our final creativity tip for the Creativity Countdown.
Week 1: Let it Rest
Sometimes I’ll be working on a creative project, let’s say it’s a complicated necklace, and I’ll get stuck where I’m going or what I want to do next.
I find myself getting frustrated and I try to keep going, only to make it worse.
Have you been in this situation?
No matter how hard you try you either can’t figure it out or else you make it even worse, get frustrated and abandon the project altogether.
Instead of trying to push through let it rest. Put that project to the side and come back to it tomorrow.
“Why is it I get my best ideas in the morning while I’m shaving?” ~Albert Einstein
Maybe for you, it’s the shower.
Come back when you’re fresh and have had some time and space away from the project and see what new ideas you have.
I hope you have gotten some little tips from the Creativity Countdown.
